Marvin Gaye's Kennedy Center performance of What's Going On is finally getting a standalone release.

PLAYLIST: In Hip-Hop and Beyond - Marvin Gaye

According to Pitchfork, the 1972 concert -- previously featured on a CD-only "deluxe edition" release in 2001-- is set for its first-ever pressing, arriving October 18th as a 2xLP on both standard 180g black wax and translucent turquoise vinyl. It is the only live performance of Gaye's 1971 masterpiece in full.

The packaging will include rare photos from the show, along with liner notes from Gaye biographer David Ritz (Divided Soul.) The remastered recording will also feature non-album cuts, "That's The Way Love Is" and "You." Along with the vinyl pressing, What's Going On Live will hit streaming services as its own set for the first time on the same day.
