Delivering on an almost immediate demand for the beats that accompanied Freddie Gibbs on the critically-acclaimed follow-up to Piñata, the full suite is locked in for a January 31st drop with new cover art from Stones Throw legend, Jeff Jank. Released in July 2019, Bandana marked the major label debut for both Lib and Gibbs, spending three weeks on Billboard’s albums chart with guest spots from Anderson .Paak, Killer Mike, Pusha T, Black Thought, Yasiin Bey, and more.

The Bandana instrumentals will follow the release of Madlib’s first collaborative album with brother Oh No as The Professionals. Their self-titled debut is set to arrive on January 17th via Madlib’s imprint. And according to Giles Peterson’s recent interview with the producer, there’s also a new project with Westside Gunn on the way, along with a sequel to Black Star’s 1998 debut and the final installment of his saga with Gibbs, tentatively titled, Montana.
