Lil Wayne & Juelz Santana Might Be Dropping Their Joint Album 'I Can't Feel My Face' This Year

Santana's wife Kimbella shared details on the joint album and its potential release in a recent interview.

Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana's collaborative album I Can’t Feel My Face is potentially dropping this summer.

In a recent interview with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club, Santana’s wife Kimbella and his brother who is also his manager, Twin both confirmed that the joint project is almost complete. During the interview the two also promoted the rapper’s latest album #FREESANTANA

“We do have a whole 25 songs that we are about to go through and pick through we already spoke to Wayne,” Twin said. He continued by sharing, “Him [Cortez Bryant] and everybody’s on board. So we are gonna put that out within the next six months.” Kimbella later explained that Santana is expected to come home during the summer. “We are waiting for a date, the paperwork has been submitted,” she said. Twin added, “We hope in June.”

I Can’t Feel My Face was first announced over a decade ago since then the project has been merely speculated. Lil Wayne spoke on the album in 2018 and expressed that songs reserved for the project were instead used for I Am Not a Human Being, reports Complex. While Santana expressed that the album was taking so long to drop due to issues with both of their separate labels.

According to XXL, Santana is currently serving a 27-month prison sentence. The sentence stems directly from a March 2018 incident in which the New York rapper attempted to enter a terminal checkpoint with a loaded .38 caliber handgun. He also had eight Oxycodone pills in his bag. He reportedly fled the terminal, caught a taxi and fled the airport. He would later surrender to police and faced Federal charges. Juelz pled guilty in August 2019 to “unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.”
