Kanye West Says Billie Eilish Needs To Apologize To Travis Scott Before He Commits to Coachella 2022

Kanye West went to Instagram announcing that he wants Billie Eilish to apologize to Travis Scott for comments made during a show.

Kanye Westdoesn't talk publicly often. But when he does, he uses Instagram. On Thursday (February 10th) Kanye West went to Instagram to let some things off his chest.

He put up a post directed toward pop superstar Billie Eilish asking that she apologize for snide comments she made during a show. Last Saturday, Billie Eilish had a show in Atlanta when a fan needed to get an inhaler after having trouble breathing. Eilish stopped the show and said, “I wait for people to be OK before I keep going," a dig at Travis Scottwho mostly kept the show going after mayhem was breaking out during the Astroworld Festival last year.

In the post, West asked Eilish to apologize to Travis for the comment. He also added that he needs to see her apologize before he commits to performing at Coachella. Both West and Eilish are set to perform at Coachella in April. (Kanye also made news by saying Travis will be at Coachella with him.)

Here is the comment in full:

“COME ON BILLIE WE LOVE YOU PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO TRAV AND TO THE FAMILIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES NO ONE INTENDED THIS TO HAPPEN TRAV DIDN’T HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING WHEN HE WAS ON STAGE AND WAS VERY HURT BY WHAT HAPPENED AND YES TRAV WILL BE WITH ME AT COACHELLA BUT NOW I NEED BILLIE TO APOLOGIZE BEFORE I PERFORM”

Eilish responded to the post by commenting, “Literally never said a thing about Travis. Was just helping a fan.”

Beron Blount, the grandmother of the youngest victim, nine-year-old Ezra Blount, also responded to Kanye's post. She told Rolling Stone:

"To hear Kanye's words, that's hurtful to us. What an idiotic thing to say."

An interesting wrinkle in all of this is Kanye saying he is bringing Travis to Coachella. This is pretty tricky because Travis was originally supposed to headline Coachella 2022. But Scott was removed from the Coachella lineup following the Astroworld Festival in November, where 10 attendees were killed by the crowd surge.

As for Kanye, if he decides to perform he will be coming with new music. The rapper is set to release DONDA 2 later this month (on February 22, 2022.) Future is set to executive produce that album.
