JAY-Z's Favorite Music of 2020 Includes a Bunch of Rap Songs & One Fiona Apple Track

Tidal recently dropped a curated playlist by JAY-Z featuring his favorite tracks of 2020.

JAY-Z has been keeping quiet for roughly a week since he publicly announced alongside Meek Mill that he stands with Ahmaud Arbery’s family as they seek justice for his fatal shooting

Now, the music mogul has released his favorite tracks on his streaming platform, Tidal titled JAY-Z: Couple Songs from 2020 (So Far). The playlist features songs from Drake, Jay Electronica, Megan Thee Stallion, Westside Gunn, Lil Uzi Vert, The Weeknd and more.

You may ask why people care about what Jay is listening to, it's honestly refreshing to see what he’s kicking back relaxing to during quarantine, or maybe turning up to (safely of course). In a leaked tweet of the curation, we saw that he’s into Kehlani’s “Toxic,” the “Savage (Remix)” featuring Beyoncé., “Hard To Choose One” off Future’s new album. One silent killer on the playlist is Drake’s “Chicago Freestyle” featuring Giveon. Uzi Vert’s “P2” and Jay Electronica’s “Universal Soldier” find spots on the playlist.

The new playlist comes as no surprise as Tidal has been killing it by dropping the exact tracks immediately following each Verzuz battle. Directly after the recent Nelly vs. Ludacris Instagram Live battle, Tidal revealed their playlist in correct order. Another notable list of tracks the platform shared was each one from the recent Erykah Badu vs. Jill Scott celebration.

Complex shared Couple Songs From 2020 accompanies a T-Mobile promotion that allows users to get a free Tidal subscription for three months. The subscription, of course, will offer curated playlists by artists like Lil Wayne, Tinashe and H.E.R.

If you’re a Tidal subscriber, we hope you enjoy the playlist.
