The weekly performance and conversation series set to start this week will feature the two-time Grammy Award winner alongside an assortment of guitars. She’ll give live renditions of her catalog in addition to performing covers and taking requests from fans. The singer-songwriter will also be joined by other female guitarists and celebrities. The creation of this series is quite timely as other entertainers including The Dream and Ne-Yo have taken to Instagram to draw in fans during the strange time we're currently facing. Erykah Badu has also recently created a quarantine concert series

H.E.R. aka Gabriella Wilson has sung her way into the hearts of her fans over the years beginning with her first EP H.E.R. Vol. 1 (2016). This EP was later released as an official album titled H.E.R., it included tracks from H.E.R. Vol. 2 (2017) in addition to six new songs. At the 2019 Grammys she took home awards for Best R&B Album (H.E.R.) and Best R&B Performance (“Best Part” with Daniel Caesar). Her songwriting typically covers heartbreak, the soft spots a couple finds in love and everything in between those two spaces,

Fast forward to 2020, the songstress was nominated for five Grammys, she did not take home any awards. Her mixtapes are undoubtedly what has caused her rise in the entertainment industry. If you’ve ever gotten a chance to catch her live, you’d understand why she has garnered critical acclaim despite being only 22 years old.

The first episode of H.E.R.’s Girls With Guitars series will debut via her Instagram account on Monday, April 6 at 8 p.m. EST.
