Havoc Performs for the First Time After Prodigy's Death
On Thursday, some of hip-hop’s finest, from 50 Cent to LL Cool J to Ice-T, came together to celebrate the life of legendary rapper Prodigy, at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel in New York City.
The next night, his Mobb Deep partner, Havoc, celebrated his life in another way. The rapper performed at the Art of Rap Festival at NJPAC Center, in Newark, New Jersey. It was Havoc’s first performance since P’s death. TMZ was able to grab footage of the powerful moment.
Havoc was joined by longtime collaborator, and day one dun Big Noyd, as well as legendary rapper Ice-T, who was also on the bill. They performed classic Mobb cuts like “Give Up The Goods” and “Shook Ones.”
Prodigy was never far from anyone’s mind. At one point Havoc was shouting:
“Make some noise for my motherf*cking brother,” he cried out to the crowd. “Make some noise for Prodigy! Say R-I-P!”
