The Game Ordered to Forfeit Ownership of Label and Album Royalties in Sexual Assault Lawsuit

A California judge delivers a decision in the sexual assault case brought against the rapper in 2015.

The Game has lost ownership of his newly-founded label and the album he launched it with.

According to Rap-Up, Game was ordered to forfeit his record label, LA Prolific, and all royalties from his 2019 album, Born 2 Rap, to Priscilla Rainey, a former contestant of his She Got Game dating show who claims she was assaulted by the rapper while filming in Chicago. Rainey filed suit in 2015 for $10 million, but the rapper failed to appear at any of the trial's court dates. Rainey was awarded $7.13 million by an Illinois court in February of the following year, prompting Game's legal team to appeal the decision, which was ultimately upheld by a higher court in October of 2019.

In her decision, California state Judge Virginia A. Phillips noted the rapper would be held in contempt of court should he go against the decision and collect any money from the project or the label.

After the 2019 decision, Game dismissed the allegations and the amount of money he was ordered to pay. He's yet to comment on the latest ruling.
