The tweet often begins as follows: “What ‘Redbone’ would sound like…” followed by a specific scenario that ranges from what the song would sound like in a bathroom at a party to what it would sound like at Gordon Ramsay‘s Hell’s Kitchen. Accompanying the tweet is a short snippet of “Redbone,” which has been remade to sound a little muffled (evoking the sound of what it is actually like to hear a song that is playing loudly while you’re in another room).
The first example of this seems to be this one, where the Twitter user wrote: “What ‘Redbone’ would sound like while you’re making out in the bathroom of a house party.”

A number of “What ‘Redbone’ would sound like…” tweets followed shortly after, with most of them still centered around hearing the song in a bathroom. However, the meme has since produced a number of different scenarios, which are just as hilarious as they are bizarre.

But aside from being a meme “Redbone” is also a platinum single. The second single from Awaken, My Love! album is now his third single to go platinum, alongside songs “Heartbeat” and “3005.”
