Here's Our First-Take Listen To Childish Gambino's "Awaken, My Love!" Album

Childish Gambino'sAwaken, My Love!will be released on vinyl this month.
Originally released in November of last year, the third album from Gambino is getting its vinyl release on May 19. The set will includean exclusive booklet, a virtual reality headset to watch the exclusive VR live performances, and a glow in the dark cover.
As you may recall, shortly before the release ofAwaken, My Love!Gambino dropped a VR video of a live performance of "Me And Your Mama," which was done during his PHAROS concert in Joshua Tree. Other live performances captured from that concert will be a part of the VR release, with the videos featuring 360-degree footage from the Joshua Tree show.
In anticipation of the release, there will be a screening party on May 17 in London, with ballot-entry tickets available at theHouse of Vanswebsite.
If you failed to pre-order the vinyl release back when it was announced last year, looks like you will have to wait until it actually drops, since pre-orders are sold out. News of the album's vinyl release comes right as "Redbone," one of the standout tracks fromAwaken, My Love!, has gone platinum. "Redbone" isnow Gambino's third single to go platinum, alongside songs Heartbeat and 3005.
