Cardi B's Invasion of Privacy just landed another record.
According to a tweet from ChartData (see below,) the 2018 debut from the Bronx-bred star is Spotify's most-streamed album by a female rapper ever. And there are some unholy numbers to go by.
Cumulative streams for songs on Invasion of Privacy have reportedly surpassed 2.8 billion, anchored by the success of the project's J Balvin collaboration, "I Like It," which accounts for almost a third of total plays (pushing 1 billion streams.) Released at the top 2018, the album had plenty of time to circulate and be promoted, as Cardi toured throughout most of the year.
The latest milestone for Invasion of Privacy follows a Grammy win at the top of 2019, beating out Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T, Travis Scott, and the late Mac Miller, for Best Rap Album (the first-ever project from a solo female rapper to take home the award.)
