Blue Note Jazz Festival Returning to NYC with Grace Jones, NxWorries, and More

The 12th annual Blue Note Jazz Festival will run from May 31st through July 2nd at a number of venues scattered across New York City.

The Blue Note Jazz Festival will be returning to NYC this summer for a full month of programming across the city.

Announced Tuesday morning in a press release, the line-up and duration of this year's festival is as ambitious as ever. Launching on May 31st with a performance from the iconic Grace Jones at Hammerstein Ballroom produced by Jill Newman Productions, the slate of shows runs through the entire month of June and into the first week of July. Other headliners include Ron Carter, Cortex, Meshell, Ndegeocello, Manhattan Transfer, Sergio Mendes, Pat Metheny, Ghost Note, and Talib Kweli. There will also be a live set from Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge, who haven't performed in the states as NxWorries in nearly five years. The duo is top-billing a June 24th show at Celebrate Brooklyn in Prospect Park with Robert Glasper, Lalah Hathaway, Bilal, and BJ The Chicago Kid.

Tickets for (most) shows go on sale this week via Blue Note. See the full line-up and schedule for the 12th annual Blue Note Jazz Festival below.
