Rocky is currently detained at the Kronoberg prison in Sweden.

A$AP Rocky's lawyer has dismissed reports claiming that the rapper is being held in "inhumane conditions" while being detained in a Swedish prison.

According to The Fader, Henrik Olsson Lilja released a statement to Swedish media outlet SVT Nyheter on Thursday that pushed back against a TMZ report that said Rocky was facing "inhumane conditions," as well as cited a US Embassy official who claimed the jail was "like walking into a toilet."

Lilja said that the rapper was "treated properly" by Swedish jail authorities, and clarified that while Rocky's holding cell smelled like urine, there are no such conditions in his current detention.

"He has never talked to TMZ or any third party regarding the circumstances when he was arrested, ie when he was in the prison. He was then treated and treated properly," Lilja said. "However, he has experienced the conditions in the arrest as very simple and has experienced that it smells urine in the cell in the arrest. However, not in detention. The conditions in the arrest cell can in that respect be criticized."

Recently, Fredrik Wallin, the governor of the Kronoberg prison where Rocky is being held, also refuted the conditions reported by TMZ. Wallin said that the prison is in "good condition."

Since his arrest and detainment, a petition has now been made demanding Rocky be released from Swedish officials. Over 500,000 people have signed the petition.
