The French duo’s debut album and heroic 1997 live performance are getting the reissue treatment.

Just days after announcing their split, two early gems from the Daft Punk catalog are headed back to wax this month.

According to DJ Mag, Virgin France is set to reissue the duo’s debut studio album, Homework, along with Alive 1997, a live recording from Daft Punk’s first European tour, which was originally released on vinyl as a standalone set in 2001 via their online fan club (aptly titled “Daft Club.”)

Homework features a number of the group’s breakout hits, including “Around The World” and “Da Funk,” as well as “Teachers,” a song that thoroughly lists the (mostly) Chicago and Detroit-based pioneers of house and techno (along with George Clinton and The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson for good measure.) The recording featured on Alive 1997 was taken from a live performance at Birmingham’s Q Club, where the duo spun standouts, crowd favorites, and remixes of songs from Homework along with elements of tracks that would take fuller form on their sophomore album, Discovery. Both albums were previously reissued in Europe in 2014 on 180-gram acetate.

Daft Punk, comprising producers Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, called it quits earlier this week with the release of a clip called “Epilogue,” which was a slightly-reworked snippet of their 2008 film, Electroma, with some new graphics.

The announcement formalizes a years-long fade-out for Bangalter and de Homem-Christo. Their final album, Random Access Memories, was released in 2013, featuring a number of collaborations with Pharrell, perhaps most notably on the smash “Get Lucky.” The group also contributed to The Weeknd’s 2016 album, Starboy, collaborating with the singer on the project’s title track and “I Feel It Coming,” which became their final single.

You can pre-order your copies of Daft Punk’s Homework and Alive 1997 via Phonica Records today.
