7 New Albums You Should Be Listening To (Week of April 7)

Madlib, Jermaine Dupri, Curren$y, and Daniel Caesar lead this week’s album roundup.

This week’s new music releases skew a bit more into a bit more of introspective headspace. Our run-down features quite a few projects that feature artists tapping in with their innermost feelings. For instance, Daniel Caesar returns with his stirring release, Never Enough. It’s quite a return for the singer who became an R&B voice to know nearly five years ago.

Rap releases are also plenty this week. In that realm, Curren$y and Jermaine Dupri released For Motivational Use Only Vol. 1 featuring 2 Chainz and T.I. Then there’s Madlib, Mayhem Lauren, and DJ MuggsChampagne For Breakfast. Mozzy shared his latest album titled Kollect Kall. Fly Anakin and Foisey also dropped Skinemaxxx (Side A).

Rae Sremmurd returns with Sremm 4 Life. And alt R&B duo THEY. have revealed their newest project titled Nü Moon.

Fly Anakin and producer Foisey’s latest is a smooth and heady drop. Tracks like “Bonnet Music” are succinct and wordy simultaneously. Production is killer on this one.

Standout Tracks: “Sudden Death (Biggest Fan) Ft. Big Kahuna Og,” “Outsidigan’s Anthem”

Mozzy Kollect Kall

Mozzy gets off some picturesque lyricism that’s equally hard-hitting on Kollect Kall. “Free All The Lifers” is a must-listen.

Standout Tracks: “It’s Over,” “Every Night Ft. Baby Money”
