50 Cent Will Celebrate 20 Years of Get Rich or Die Tryin’ with the ‘The Final Lap’ Tour

50 Cent will be embarking on the ‘The Final Lap’ tour with Busta Rhymes and Jeremih.

Rapper-turned-multimedia mogul 50 Centis bringing along Busta Rhymes and Jeremih for ‘The Final Lap.’ On Thursday (May 4), 50, legal name Curtis Jackson, announced his 2023 global tour, which will also honor the 20th anniversary of his landmark debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’

With dates in North America and Europe, ‘The Final Lap’ tour begins in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 21, hitting Nashville, Cleveland, Brooklyn, Virginia Beach, Atlanta, Phoenix, Los Angeles and more, before concluding its first leg on September 17 in Detroit.

Get Rich or Die Tryin’ released in February 2003, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album, which included hits like the Dr. Dre-produced “In Da Club,” “21 Questions” featuring Nate Dogg, and the street classic "Many Men" has since been praised as a gangsta rap classic. 

“At the time everybody was trying to be hard and tough and took a route that maybe wasn’t for them. It killed a lot of the corny records,” Mr. Porter, who produced 50 Cent’s “P.I.M.P.,” told Okayplayer in 2018. “It was OK in the party to wear Timbs at the time. There has been nothing like it.”

The LP was followed by Jackson’s autobiographical drama of the same name, which was released in 2005, and which contain one of the best hip-hop soundtracks. The 47-year-old has delved further into his entertainment empire, producing the Power franchise, BMF and next, Vice City.
