For years now, Discogs has provided crate-diggers and leisurely enthusiasts with monthly scans of the most expensive items sold on the site.

And this weekend, they upped the bandwidth. The site has generated two lists of the priciest pick-ups in the vinyl market's history; one for the US and another for the UK. And though the lists are equally staggering in the amounts collectors and sellers have paid for the rarest 12 and 7-inch finds, there's a clear break in what each market is demanding.

Topping the US list (and making several appearances throughout) is Prince's The Black Album. The once-shelved project set a site record when it sold for $15,000 a few days after the icon passed in 2016. On the other end of the pond, The Sex Pistols' "God Save The Queen" tops the UK list with a whopping $16, 125.18 bid in 2018. Another copy of the impossibly rare 7-inch sold for just north of $14,000 the year prior.
