Lauryn Hill Stars in New Denim Tears Campaign With Her Family

Denim Tears has officially announced the return of its DENIM TEARS DENIM program for the spring/summer 2026 season and the new campaign stars hip-hop icon Ms. Lauryn Hill. She’s photographed alongside her kids, Zion, Selah, Joshua, John, Sara and Micah. According to HYPEBEAST, the family was photographed by Liam MacRae and Justin Sarinana.

The collaboration was teased online with black-and-white images — including one of Hill rocking a denim jacket and matching jeans with a button-up shirt and tinted shades. The brand’s signature cotton wreath is emblazoned on the pieces. It appears on the trucker jacket, baggy jeans, bucket hat, denim cap, and tote bag, maintaining a distinct visual connection. The Hill family rock looks from the full collection — emphasizing a sense of connection and togetherness for the campaign.

Denim Tears has been consistently promoting the new release across social media. In addition to the new wreath pattern, there are also new reversible flight jackets, snapbacks, zip-up hoodies, varsity jackets, long-sleeve tees, polos and workwear staples.

Hill has been highly visible over the past several months, appearing at Milan Fashion Week in support of Louis Trotter's sophomore presentation for Bottega Veneta, and she drew controversy after performing at Kanye West’s April 3 SoFi Stadium show in Los Angeles. In 2025, she took part in a roundtable discussion at Harvard University as part of the university’s speaker series. 

“You talk about community,” Ms. Hill explained to the attendees. “To me, community is huge. Curate a community, find a community. People who understand you — who get you. Who can appreciate, who can reflect you. Who can resonate. So you’re not in a vacuum. You can bounce ideas off of someone. They can also articulate appreciation. You can articulate appreciation back. I think these are very healthy and important things in the world.”
