What are your plans on March 12th? If you're in Brooklyn, come hang out with us — for a good cause.
On Tuesday, March 12, the second annual Brownsville NOW! Benefit will be going down at the Brooklyn Bowl. Veteran rapper John Forte will be headlining the benefit. Talib Kweli will also be performing. (And we hear there are more surprise guests popping up.) Presented by the Melting Pot Foundation USA, the benefit will be hosted by actor and activist Malik Yoba and Pastor Nelvern R Samuel of Brownsville's Love City Church.
The night will offer food, from acclaimed Chef JJ Johnson, drinks, and an auction. Just trust us when we say there will be good vibes in the building. Proceeds from the night will go directly to BCCC, a wonderful nonprofit based in Brownsville, Brooklyn that is trying to fight food injustice in the community. It's an organization that provides healthy food options for the neighborhood; it also offers a job program which trains community members to find careers in the food industry.
We are proud to announce that we are one of the event partners, alongside Brooklyn Bowl, Brooklyn Brewery, CxRA and more:
Tickets are available now. You have a range of options, from complete tables of eight, to bowling lanes for parties of eight and four to standing room general admission.
