Jhené Aiko is without question the it-girl of the day. Her latest release "My Afternoon Dream" proves she is capable of capturing all the textures of our time in one minimal piano filled romp. The track is accented by her lilting hip-hop centric delivery and a haunting reverie inducing visual, filled with negative images and a stirring silhouette of a child playing on the beach, closing with a shot of what we can only assume is Jhene's still whited-out shadow afloat in the ocean.
