Jay Electronica’s recent performance in Los Angeles took a negative turn. The Roc Nation artist’s concert at The Compound on Saturday, April 4, turned hostile after some attendees started booing Jay Elect for performing “Exhibit C” acapella instead of over the familiar Just Blaze beat.

In footage from the concert that was posted across social media, Jay can be seen halting his set. He appears to take issue with the crowd’s reaction to his performance.

“If you f**k with me, shut the f**k up and listen to the bars!” he can be heard saying to the audience, before adding, “Whoever boos, we know you the enemy, n***a, and you a coward! ‘Cause you won’t boo in my face.”

Electronica then headed into the crowd and continued his challenge to hecklers as he moved through the audience.

“See how they shut the f**k up! They p***y!” he yelled.

“My fans know I ain’t talking to them,” Jay added. “We on the same team … I came here to swing my sword at the enemy. If you want to boo, that’s fine; I’ve been booed at concerts before. But grow some nuts and boo in my face.”

Jay could also be seen squaring up with one man in attendance while holding his mic in one hand and rhyming his harangue.

“Ms. Dorothy raised me up on the psalms of David / Plus worked her whole life, day and night on grave shift / So just know Jay Electronica ain’t to be played with!” Jay rapped, quoting his song “Abracadabra (A Written Testimony: Leaflets).”
