Issa Rae Awarded The Trailblazing Award At The Hollywood Confidential

Our favorite awkward black girl, Issa Rae, was honored at the fourth installment of The Hollywood Confidential on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. The event was at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills and was done to celebrate the end of Black History Month.

Issa, creator and star of one of the best new shows last year, HBO's Insecure, received the Trailblazing Award, "for her breakthrough in the entertainment industry, positively impacting diversity and inclusion." Rae also participated in a panel conversation that covered a range of topics, from beauty to health to diversity.

The Golden Globe-nominated Issa has been picking up nothing but wins recently. Last month alone she was honored by the L.A. City Council, awarded with the ABFF's Rising Star Award, the Black Women in Hollywood Awards, and now the Trailblazing Award.

That awards shelf is getting crowded.
