MF DOOM's 2017 takeover is filling out nicely. A few weeks back, Adult Swim announced that it would release 15 new songs from the reclusive rap icon in 15 weeks. The first, a brooding collaborative cut with the late Sean Price, arrived that day, with the fully-fleshed-out Jay Electronica-assisted "True Lightyears" as a follow-up the subsequent week (though that was reportedly a new single off a separate project from the long-retired nineties group, KMD.)
Today, DOOM goes three-for-three with the release of "DOOMSAYER," a gritty 2-minute solo romp over a sinister Alchemist production, the second single off The Missing Notebook Rhymes. The project will mark DOOM's first album since a collaborative project with Bishop Nehru in 2014, though The Missing Notebook Rhymes is shaping up to be more a compilation than a comprehensive new album. Time will tell though.
