First Nintendo, now Sega. In case you missed the big reveal, the NES will be making a return this year just in time for the holiday season in the form of an adorably compact mini-console with 30 preloaded classics from their legendary catalogue. But it appears they won't be the only ones capitalizing off the nostalgia blitz, as Sega has just announced that they will also be joining in on the fun with their own rebooted throwback.
This October Sega will bring back the Mega Drive in celebration of Sonic The Hedgehog's 25th anniversary, offering gamers miniature versions of the classic console; one handheld, the other set-top, but both pre-programmed with 80 (yes, eight zero) games, including the full trilogies of Mortal Kombat and Golden Axe, as well as a full suite of Sonic games for you to rock with. A precise date has yet to me announced, but you can peep the full list of game included down below and pre-order yours here. The holidaze haven't been this exciting in a long, long time.
