Hopefully, by now you've had the opportunity to lend an eye and an ear to Childish Gambino's new musical, Guava Island, while it's still free to do so. This film is written by Bino's brother, Steven Glover, and directed by Atlanta alum, Hiro Murai, featuring Rihanna in a co-starring slot.
If you haven't, that's fine. There's still a few hours before the film hits the Prime paywall. But there's plenty to see and hear. Guava Island features recalibrated singles from last summer's short run of loosies ("This Is America," "Feels Like Summer," and "Summertime Magic,") along with some entirely new compositions ("Die With You" and "Red's Cargo.")
