Drake Is Reportedly Helping The Raptors Convince Kawhi Leonard To Stay In Toronto

Can the Raptors ambassador ensure the small forward stays in Toronto?

Drake is reportedly doing what he can to keep Kawhi Leonard with the Toronto Raptors.

Leonard hasn't gone public yet on his decision to stay with the Raptors or go elsewhere. But it seems that Drake has stepped in to help the team keep Leonard, according to the New York Times' Marc Stein.

"The Raptors haven't backed off one centimeter and Drake is said to be mounting his own recruiting campaign on top of whatever the freshly minted champions are doing to convince him to stay," Stein reported on Twitter.

The Raptors became this year's NBA champions after beating the Golden State Warriors during the NBA Finals. Aside from the Raptors, both the Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers are also hoping to get Leonard. The basketball star was born in LA.
