The entrepreneur also shares his top five MCs.

Ice Cube recently appeared on Power 106 FM's Nick Cannon Mornings where he discussed his top five favorite MCs, and if Chris Tucker will make an appearance in Last Friday.

During their conversation, Cannon asks Cube if fans can expect to see Tucker's character Smokey in the new film. Smokey, who appeared in the first Friday movie, didn't appear in sequels Next Friday or Friday After Next.

"It's really about Chris Tucker making a commitment," Cube said. "He's not gonna hold up the movie."

Back in May, Cube had shared that the script for the movie was completed.

"We finished the script, we are getting notes from the studio and it's going back and forth. Get into pre-production and start hiring. It would be nice for this to come out on the 25th anniversary. That would be kinda…good," he said at the time.

Elsewhere during the interview Cube shared his top five favorite MCs.

"I always look at the influencers, the pioneers, the ones who virtually created a style or flavor all they own," he said. "So my greats are people like Melle Mel, Ice-T, Chuck D, KRS-One and I'll put Rakim in there."

"To me, those are the trendsetters, the ones who changed the trajectory of the game in a major way. It was about skills and talent, and really having their own style and taking it and running with it," he added.
