RZA Reveals Season Two Of 'Wu-Tang: An American Saga' Will Air This Fall

RZA has offered an update on when the second season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga will be airing on the streaming platform.

After a couple of reports have come out detailing new characters that'll be introduced in the second season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga, RZA has now revealed when fans can expect to see the show make its return on Hulu.

In an interview with HipHopDX, RZA shared that the second season will air sometime in September, saying: "That story will be complete for the season. Then I’m looking to get back in a director’s chair. I feel like that’s important for me to continue to tell our stories through cinema."

"That’s going to take some time to develop a new script. But I’m having a great time finishing up the new season of American Saga," he added.

Recently, it was revealed that La La Anthony would be joining the cast of American Saga as Tracey Waples, a Def Jam Executive. Anthony's character is presumably based on the real-life Tracey Waples, a Def Jam A&R rep who played a part in trying to get the entire Wu to sign to the label. Ultimately, it was only Method Man that ended up signing to Def Jam.

Along with Anthony's announcement, it's also been reported that Curtiss Cook Jr. and Gbenga Akinnagbe have joined the cast as well, with the actors portraying the Wu's DJ Mathematics and first head manager Mook, respectively.

RZA had previously shared that the second season will focus on the recording of Wu-Tang's seminal debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).
