JAY-Z and Kid Cudi Preview New Song in an Explosive Trailer for 'The Harder They Fall'

The latest trailer for Netflix's incoming western features JAY-Z and Kid Cudi's first collaboration since 2009.

As one of the film's executive producers, JAY-Z could have secured his bag for The Harder They Fall and called it a day. But it appears the rap mogul's involvement goes beyond whatever it is that executive producers do.

An explosive new trailer for the incoming Netflix western introduces the broader crew of horseback gunslingers accompanying Idris Elba, Regina King, and LaKeith Stanfield in the film. They include Atlanta's Zazie Beetz and the MCU's newest villain, Jonathan Majors. And if you listen close, you'll be able to hear a slice of "My Guns Go Bang," Hov's first collaboration with Kid Cudi since 2009's The Blueprint 3. It's unclear whether the film will have a standalone soundtrack alongside its original score, but for now, it seems there's a tracklist of at least one.

The Harder They Fall follows the assembly and eventual standoff between two rival gangs, one led by Elba's Rufus Buck, the other by Majors' Nat Love. JAY-Z is executive producing the film alongside Jeymes Samuel, who is also making his directorial debut. The film marks Hov's latest executive producer credit, which is a rapidly expanding section of his non-music portfolio. Upcoming projects include a TV series about pivotal women in the civil rights movement and a Richard Pryor documentary tentatively titled, Is It Something I Said?.

.Hear a bit of the new JAY-Z and Kid Cudi song in the latest trailer for The Harder They Fall below. Catch the movie in select theaters next month or wait for it to hit Netflix on November 3rd. Hold tight for updates on the film's soundtrack in the weeks ahead.
