"I said, 'Who's that man in the hat?' He looked real familiar," Lundon Taylor, the host for the open-mic jam said to the Dallas Observer. "Finally I was like, 'Oh s**t, that is Dave Chappelle.'"

"[Chappelle] got up in no time. He looked at me and said, 'You the emcee, the host?' I said, 'Yes, sir.' He said, 'Don't go nowhere,'" Taylor continued. "He spoke a little and went into a hip-hop song called 'You Know What Love Is,' and then I started singing verses in front of Dave Chappelle."

Chappelle ended up participating in the jam for more than an hour until the bar closed at two in the morning. Also reportedly present at the cafe was members of Bruno Mars' band, who were there separate from Chappelle. The famed comedian threw a special party in his hometown of Washington, D.C., upon completing his residency at the Warner Theatre.
