Watch The 'Sesame Street' Cast Sing To A Group Of Kids For Their 'Tiny Desk Concert'

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the educational children's television series.

Sesame Street is truly for the children. The Muppets — Big Bird, Bert and Ernie, Rosita, Abby Cadabby and Cookie Monster (Count von Count also makes an appearance, introducing his fellow Muppets but not singing) — took to NPR for their very own Tiny Desk Concert performance.

But unlike most Tiny Desk sets where the performer is often singing to an audience of adults, this concert found the Muppets performing to a group of kids, singing songs like "The Sesame Street Theme (Sunny Days)," "People In Your Neighborhood," "What I Am," and others.

Recently, Sesame Street teamed up with rapper Common to make a song and video about respect. The collaboration between Common and the Muppets was produced by Kaytranada and BadBadNotGood.

"Respect Brings Us Together: As part of Sesame Street's 50th anniversary celebration, we have a campaign highlighting the importance of respecting one another, even in disagreement — and even in the case of sworn enemies," read a caption for the video on Sesame Street's YouTube page.

Sesame Street is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The first episode of the educational children's television series first aired on November 10, 1969.
