T.I. Addresses Donald Trump Using "Whatever You Like" For Biden Attack Ad

T.I.'s management released a statement on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump sparked headlines with a viral post to his official Snapchat account. The post repurposed T.I.'s 2008 single "Whatever You Like" to attack presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

The video slightly alters the well-known actual hook. The new version appears to say "don't want Joe Biden, need Joe Biden..."

The clip quickly circulated on social media. On Thursday afternoon, a representative of the rapper released an official statement.

"It goes without saying," the rep wrote, "that T.I. would not ever support the divisive policies and propaganda of Trump. The people of our country deserve better than this."

"Be clear," the statement continues, "he does not authorize it or consent to the use of his song to falsely suggest any endorsement of President Trump or to attack Joe Biden."

The Atlanta MC has feuded with the Trumps before. In October 2018, a spokesperson for First Lady Melania Trump called for a boycott of the rapper. The outrage came after he released a video enlisting a lookalike of the FLOTUS performing a striptease in a replica of the Oval Office.

"It is sad, but expected, that this President would stoop so low to use his property without authority to manipulate the community. T.I.'s legal team and media partners are already moving Expeditiously to block this unauthorized use and set the record straight in no uncertain terms!"
