Twitter users brought back the #BoycottNetflix hashtag to petition the new deal, with many of them claiming they canceled their subscription with the streaming service.
“Netflix deserves a boycott or a march. Changing my streaming service,” one user wrote.
“#netflix you really sold out to the Obamas? Looks like I’ll be canceling your subscription even before you price hike again,” another said.
Some users also shared photoshopped versions of the company’s red, black and white logo that read, “Cancel Netflix” and “No Thanks.”
On Monday afternoon, Netflix released the following tweet announcing its content deal with the Obamas.
