Watch Kendrick Lamar & pgLang's Series of Extraordinary Short Films

Baby Keem and Brent Faiyaz star in two short films produced by Dave Free created on behalf of the pgLang for Calvin Klein campaign.

Kendrick Lamar’s mysterious service company pgLang has officially dropped its latest project: a series of short films in collaboration with Calvin Klein.

The films were conceptualized, cast, written, and directed by Dave Free in Los Angeles. On Wednesday, teasers were released by the company but they were quite limited. One teaser included a dual logo, while another was a video providing a glimpse into the films that are live today. Baby Keem, Brent Faiyaz, Ryan Destiny, Keith Powers, Travis Bennett, Amber Wagner, Exavier, Mecca Alllah all star in the short films.

“The films prioritize optimism and creativity beyond all else, and usher in a new era of inspiring, humorous and relatable advertising,” a statement from pgLang reads. “Not only for Calvin Klein, but for the entire fashion industry.”

Also debuting today are two snippets of tracks by Baby Keem and Faiyaz. In the clip titled “Voyagé” fans of Keem will be introduced to a song he produced alongside Dez Wright and Beach Noize titled “Patience Interlude.” Equally compelling is the film “Solo” which includes a snippet of a track credited to Faiyaz under the same name.

pgLang initially launched in March 2020 and was met with a bit of fanfare. Since Lamar has taken somewhat of a hiatus from solo music drops the mysterious venture came as a bit of a surprise. But, not to be missed is the fact that the pgLang for Calvin Klein campaign provides a unique way to market art, fashion and free flowing creativity.

Take a look at each of the pgLang for Calvin Klein short films below.
