Joe Rogan Postpones Co-Headlining Shows with Dave Chappelle After Testing Positive for COVID

Joe Rogan and Dave Chappelle were set to perform in Nashville and New Orleans this weekend.

COVID-19 is proving to be precisely the foe science predicted for anyone attempting to perform in front of a large group of people. Two comedians who know this better than most, Joe Rogan and Dave Chappelle, are once again rescheduling their shows together after a run-in with the potentially fatal virus. This time, it's Rogan who tested positive.

The comedian and podcasting giant detailed his experience with the virus in an Instagram post on Wednesday night (see below.) "I got back from the road Saturday night, feeling very weary," Rogan said. "I had a headache. I felt just run-down. "Just to be cautious, I separated from my family, slept in a different part of the house. Throughout the night, I got fevers, sweats. I knew what was going on. I got up in the morning, got tested. Turns out, I got COVID," Rogan added before listing all of the ways he was treating himself that weren't the vaccine, including that horse deworming agent which has no known efficacy in treating the virus. That last bit seems important to note given the comedian's vocal skepticism of the vaccine and how frequently he's welcomed and uplifted the voices of disinformation specialists on his very popular show. It's also worth adding that had Rogan actually taken the vaccine, his symptoms would have likely been far easier to handle.

Rogan and Chappelle were initially slated to perform in Nashville and New Orleans this Friday and Saturday. The Nashville show has been postponed to October 24th, while the latter date has yet to be put back on the calendar. Ticket holders should keep an eye out for notifications from Ticketmaster for updates.
