The trailer also shows off Sonic's new look, which finds him with bigger eyes and less teeth.

A new trailer for the forthcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie has been released. The almost three-minute-long trailer debuts Sonic's redesign after his initial design (particularly his teeth) in the first trailer released back in April was met with backlash from fans.

The new trailer is also no longer soundtracked by Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise." Half of the trailer is soundtracked by J.J. Fad's "Supersonic" (a more fitting and obvious choice) and the Ramones' "Blitzkrieg Bop." Some people on Twitter seem to miss "Gangsta's Paradise," while others like the new songs chosen for the trailer.

"Gangsta's Paradise" was one of the most baffling things about the first Sonic the Hedgehog trailer. The mid-'90s smash hit— which was on the Dangerous Minds soundtrack — was featured throughout the trailer, and gave it a much more serious tone. With "Supersonic" and "Blitzkrieg Bop" though, this latest trailer hones in more on the ridiculousness and fun of the film.

The new trailer essentially gives the entire plot of the movie away and sets up how Sonic ends up becoming a target for Doctor Robotnik (Jim Carrey). But if you're interested, you can watch it above.

Sonic the Hedgehog comes out February 14.
