Comedian Hannibal Buress Arrested In Miami

Comedian Hannibal Buress was arrested Saturday night in Miami, Florida, for disorderly intoxication.

The arrest was confirmed through the Miami Police Department's Twitter after a video was posted to social media showing what appeared to be Buress getting arrested. In the video, he can heard asking the officers to explain what he was being detained for.

"Am I under arrest? For what?" Buress asks in the video. "Explain what I'm detained for. What I am detained for?"

"For trespassing," an officer replies, to which Buress appears to say back "You know y'all goofy as f**k" while adding that the police officers "don't have probable cause for anything."

According to a report from the Miami Herald, Buress was arrested him 10:30 p.m. in an area that was hosting a number of events related to international art fair Art Basel. In a report from police the incident started when Buress asked a cop to call an Uber for him. When the officer declined the comedian became "angry and belligerent," and proceeded to walk inside a venue where the cop followed him in.

"Once outside, the defendant stood by the front gate and continued yelling profanities," the officer's report said. "I, then again, asked him to leave the area about five times. A crowd began to gather and vehicular traffic slowed as they watched the defendant yelling and being disorderly. Defendant arrested."

Buress was booked into a Miami-Dade jail at 1:57 a.m. Sunday and posted bail just before 6 a.m. Although he was told he was under arrest for trespassing he was never charged for that, but was charged for disorderly conduct.
