In a new interview with InStyle, Badu shared that she is opening an online store called Badu World Market. Per InStyle:

Her shop will feature everything that interests her, from Native American herbs to Japanese geta sandals to collaborations with artists all over the globe.

According to Badu, the goal of the store is to "encourage networking among smaller brands and prestigious art houses," and that "It's a hub to share space with all people."

Elsewhere in the interview, Badu also briefly speaks on being a doula, and how her most recent baby delivering happened "after she gave the mother a special brew of tea, banged on a gong, and played hard-core hip-hop." And apparently, the hardcore hip-hop that Badu played was none other than the Wu-Tang Clan, with the singer saying, "Babies like Wu-Tang."

She also discussed why she's not interested in creating new music.

"I can't relate to none of the shit that's going on, so I just kind of have to accept that I'm in a downloading period," she said.

In related news, Badu will be appearing alongside D'Angelo on a song coming out this year. The pair is featured on the song "Behoove," which is appearing on an album called Slingbaum One by a mysterious artist named Slingbaum. The album is only being released on vinyl.
