Michael B. Jordan has made a fan out of Dr. Dre. While attending the premiere of Creed III on Monday night (February 27) at TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, the business mogul, superproducer and rapper told Entertainment Tonight about Jordan approaching him to use his music in the film.
"Mike actually came to my house and screened the film for me, and I thought he was out of his mind," Dre recalled. "First-time director and starring in the film? It's like, you gotta be crazy to do that, because it's extremely difficult."
"[But] I was so proud of him," Dre added. "I said, 'Listen, man, I can't wait to see what's gonna come out of your mind next, as far as the direction goes,' you know? It was amazing."
Dre's song plays over a significant moment in the film, which also stars Jonathan Majors, Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris and Phylica Rashad.
"I thought they did an amazing job," Dre said. "I'm really proud of it."
Jordan, also the current cover star of Rolling Stone, will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday (March 1).
“Michael B. Jordan has become a household name thanks to his many roles on the big screen,” stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “To think that this star didn’t grow up with dreams of being an actor! Luckily for us he changed his mind and now he will be honored with an iconic star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
