A trailer for the comedian's forthcoming special, titled Sticks & Stones, dropped Thursday. The trailer shows Chappelle walking through a barren land of some sort as Morgan Freeman narrates.

"This is Dave. He tells jokes for a living. Hopefully, he makes people laugh. But these days, it's a high stakes game," Freeman says. "How did we get here, I wonder? I don't mean that metaphorically. I'm really asking. How did Dave get here? I mean, what the fuck is this? What do I know? I'm just Morgan Freeman. Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you say anything, you miss everything. But if that's the way it's gotta be, fuck it. He's back, folks."

Sticks & Stones follows a series of other comedy specials Chappelle has released through Netflix. Prior to this he released four specials in 2017: Deep in the Heart of Texas: Dave Chappelle Live at Austin City LimitsThe Age of Spin: Dave Chappelle Live at the Hollywood PalladiumDave Chappelle: Equanimity, and Dave Chappelle: The Bird Revelation. He received an Emmy for Equanimity in 2018.

Maybe in this forthcoming special, Chappelle will confirm if he actually ate magic mushrooms a fan gave him while watching Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which Joe Rogan says happened.

Sticks & Stones drops on Netflix August.
