Cosby also sent his condolences to Kobe Bryant's family.

CBS This Morning anchor Gayle King is a target of online backlash after a segment from an interview with WNBA legend Lisa Leslie went viral. On Thursday morning, King posted a video saying the quotes were taken out of context.

Regardless, celebrities like Snoop Dogg and Boosie Badazz took to social media to express their distaste. Snoop went as far as to post a picture of King's close friend Oprah Winfrey with Harvey Weinstein. "Fuck u and Gayle," Snoop said in the caption, adding "Free bill Cosby."

Thursday afternoon, Cosby expressed his gratitude on social media.

"Snoop," Cosby said, "when they brought me to my gated community and placed me inside of my penthouse, they didn't win nor did they silence me. On behalf of myself, Camille and my family, thank you. My heartfelt prayers are with Kobe and his family, as well as with Michael Jackson and his family. May their legacies live on forever."

King asked Leslie, a close friend of Kobe Bryant if Bryant's 2003 rape case complicated his legacy for her. "It's not complicated for me at all," Leslie replied. "I have never seen him being that kind of person that would do something to violate a woman or be aggressive in that way. That's just not the person that I know."

King responded that Leslie was less likely to see this side, as a close friend. When the clip surfaced online, Bryant's fans focused their frustration at King.
