Bernie Sanders was the latest guest on Showtime's Desus and Mero this week.
In an extended clip from Thursday's episode, the presidential hopeful detailed his weed legalization policy and offered his best guess at the prices for a range of rare sneakers.
On the legalization proposition, Sanders noted his first step would be to remove the Schedule 1 drug classification of cannabis, which would effectively legalize it across the country. His second step will be the expungement of records for current and past non-violent drug offenders with weed-related charges. And finally, Sanders hopes to bar large corporations from involvement in the legal weed industry to offer communities of color priority in obtaining the licenses required to start their own dispensaries and/or growing facilities.
When it came to guessing the price tags on sneakers, Sanders was not as sharp. The Bronx duo presented Travis Scott's recently-released Jordan 1s, as well as Virgil Abloh's take on the classic silhouette and Kanye's "Red October." Sanders went 0-for-3, which is hardly surprising for a man pushing 80 years of age.
