The Russo Brothers Reveal What 'Avengers: Endgame' was Almost Titled
We were almost headed to the Gauntlet.
Marvel Studio’s history of burying easter eggs throughout its cinematic universe films has required its fans to become just as calculating and strategic as the film creators. These skills were put to good use after Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed that the second to last installment would be titled Avengers: Infinity War, and that the final film was untitled at the time because the considered title may have contained a spoiler.
Of course, fans soon began speculating in forums about what the final film would be called. Marvel Studios considered Avengers: Infinity War Part 2, and then it was billed as Avengers 4. Ultimately, Avengers: Endgame was locked in. In a recent episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, directors Anthony and Joseph Russo revealed that there was one other fan-speculated title that was also considered: Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet.
