Ava DuVernay is Working on a TV Drama Centered Around a Police Shooting
Ava DuVernay is always working
Ava DuVernay has conquered featured films and documentaries.
Her next conquest is going to be network TV.
CBS has greenlit four new dramas to their network. One of those shows is a racially charged drama called Red Line.
The show will chronicle the occurrences that happen after a white Chicago cop shoots and kills a black doctor, by mistake. Red Line will unfold from the perspective of three families involved with the case.
Red Line is being executive produced by DuVernay, Greg Berlanti, who is a producer on Supergirl, and Sarah Schechter, who is working on Black Lightning.
The other show that CBS picked up that sounds very interesting is Main Justice, which is a show based on the life of former Attorney General Eric Holder.
