Chic And Earth, Wind & Fire Announce 2017 Summer Tour

Several months back Nile Rodgers announced that Chic's first album in 25 years would be arriving this year, alongside a number of performances.

Now, Rodgers has announced a summer tour with the one and only Earth, Wind & Fire. Titled the "2054: The Tour," the tour will begin on July 12 in Oakland, California, and end on August 22 in Detroit, Michigan. Tickets go on sale to the public on April 28.

"There was a time when we could only dream of 'seeing' Earth, Wind & Fire live, now we get the honor of sharing the stage together," Rodgers said in a statement. "Get your feet ready for a deluge of hits." Earth, Wind & Fire is currently on a tour of their own, with that tour wrapping up on June 24 in Aspen, Colorado.

Chic performed at last year's first-ever Roots Picnic in New York City, serving as the main headliner for the second day of the festival.
