Brandy is set to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Walk of Fame committee made the announcement on Friday, March 20, with the Grammy Award winner being recognized for her massive contributions to R&B and her trailblazing roles in television and film.
“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome performer Brandy to the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” stated Ana Martinez, Walk of Fame producer. “Brandy has captivated audiences for decades with a voice and artistry that helped shape modern R&B and inspire generations of performers. Honoring her with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a celebration of not only her extraordinary music career, but also her lasting impact on television, film and popular culture. We are proud to welcome Brandy to this iconic sidewalk that celebrates the very best of entertainment.”
Brandy rose to fame as a teen star in the 1990s, first as an actress on the short-lived ABC sitcom Thea, before releasing her debut album, Brandy, in 1994. She returned to television as star of the UPN hit Moesha in 1996, (which aired for six seasons) and co-starred with Whitney Houston in a hit retelling of Cinderella, before releasing acclaimed albums like Never Say Never and Full Moon that saw her music and image transition into adulthood.
Brandy’s star will be located at 6201 Hollywood Boulevard, and the ceremony is set for March 30 at 11:30 a.m. PT. The event will be emceed by Sibley Scoles, with guest speakers Issa Rae and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds.
Brandy wrapped the successful Boy Is Mine Tour alongside Monica in late 2025, and she’s set to perform at the 2026 Roots Picnic. Brandy was also announced as a performer for this year’s Essence Music and Culture Festival. To commemorate the news, Monica posted a photo of herself and Brandy back in early March.
“@brandy and I are SO happy to announce that WE #Bronica are headlining @Essence Festival 2026…on Saturday, July 4th,” she wrote.
