Some of the greatest rap music of all time was written and recorded in The Dungeon.
Located beneath Rico Wade’s mother's house in Atlanta, Georgia, The Dungeon was a basement space where Outkast, Goodie Mob, and Organized Noize recorded and produced early Duengon Family music. It was ground zero for innovation before operations were moved to Stankonia Studios in late '90s.
On Wednesday (January 6th) Big Boi went to social media to announce that he had purchased The Dungeon, the studio where classics like Outkast's Southerplayalisticadillacmuzik and Goodie Mob's Soul Food were recorded.
