Kramos is back in the saddle for the new year with the 51st episode of Fresh Taste from Brooklyn Radio.

Back for a regular edition of The Fresh Taste show with Kramos in the mix to start 2018. It's still an eclectic adventure with jazz, r&b, soul, house and a lot of hip hop & beats colliding. Most of the music is new releases from the 2nd half of 2017. We also play a track by Figub Barzlevic taken from an extremely dope upcoming compilation titled "Oonops Drops vol.1" by Brooklyn Radio's own Oonops. We have another exclusive from the F*CLR label by Glenn Davis, splendid house music. Hope you enjoy the blend!

DJ Rahdu - Sound Traveler Series #27

DJ Rahdu joins DJ Junior for Episode 27 of the Sound Traveler Series from Recordbreakin Music.

I feel whenever they are behind the turntables, it should be the DJ's desire for the crowd to sound travel, to literally be taken on a musical journey. Directing their attention to awesome treats and helping them discover cuts never considered all while keeping the flock away from wack jams like a glorified tour guide should be the DJ's objective. So, this is like a little time traveling as well, eh? I believe my entry in this great series provides you the chance to chill, dance, groove, reminisce, fonk and more all within a 1 hour timeframe. To be honest, while putting this together I found a lot of songs that have become favorites, and I hope you’ll listen and find some favorites as well. I think one of my strong suits is weaving genres together while retaining a cohesive groove, which I feel is important when creating a mix. Hopefully you’ll feel the same and ride this one for the full trip. ENJOY – Rahdu

Obah - Recycled Funk Ep. 13

Obah treats listeners to a clinic on blends for the thirteenth episode of Recycled Funk from Brooklyn Radio.

For as long as I've been a DJ, I've incorporated the blend, aka live remix into my sets as often as possible. It has become a lost & forgotten aspect of most DJ sets. The art of mixing, like really mixing and putting your personal touch on a set of music. What is a blend exactly. Well, if you're an oldschool DJ like myself then the label "blend" is synonymous with a) extended/long mixes of 2 songs, or b) mixing an acapella of 1 song with a beat/instrumental of another. In this instance I am showcasing the acapella blend. For the record, I do not, never have used the sync feature to execute a blend mix, or any mix for that matter, and there is no overdubbing involved here, except for my vocals/ID tags. One continuous mix from start to finish. This mix showcases primarily Hip-Hop vocals, with a couple of R&B a capella's included. I hope you enjoy this Recycled Funk vibe!
