J Dilla
A new compilation of J Dilla beats has appeared on streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify, and TIDAL. Not much information about the collection is available at the time of this writing. The project is listed as being released by "Yancey Media Group LLC / Official Ma Dukes / VINTAGE VIBEZ MUSIC GROUP." Titled Jay Dee's Ma Dukes Collection, one can assume that the beats were hand picked by Dilla's mother Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey. J Dilla, born James Dewitt Yancey, passed away on February 10, 2006 at the young age of thirty-two. Since Dilla's untimely passing multiple posthumous records and compilations have been released including The Shining, Jay Stay Paid, The Diary, and others. Jay Dee's Ma Dukes Collection runs fifteen tracks long and rounds out at about thirty three minutes. Back in October another Dilla beat tape, titled Jay Dee aka King Dilla was released.
