Eric Andre may be damn-near ubiquitous at this point, but little is actually known about the comedian's influences or come-up. You've seen him weigh-in on NYC's public art displays, how badly Roadrunner needs to get his, and of course, the Republican National Convention (a now classic politically-driven segment.)
On the latest installment of Stones Throw's podcast series, we hear Andre sitting with label head Peanut Butter Wolf discussing his favorite comedians and bits, including some absolute titans of the industry, including George Carlin, Joan Rivers, Redd Foxx, Bill Hicks and Eddie Griffin, even spinning his favorite comedy records. Elsewhere in the interview Andre and Wolf address the lack of diversity in the comedy and music, recalling Andre's time at Boston's acclaimed Berklee College Of Music, and how few of his classmates actually went on to successful music careers (with the exception of Esperanza Spalding and St. Vincent.)
